I recently moved into a new apartment. The first think I wanted to do was start my apartment garden. There are so many innovated techniques used to created an indoor apartment garden. Below are some of my favorite apartment gardening ideas.
1. Regrowing plants from scraps
There are many herbs and vegetables that you can regrow from cuttings bought from the grocery store. You can find unique glass containers at thrift stores or even the dollar store. Place the cuttings in water by a window seal and watch them grow. You can try to regrow spring onions, Leeks, Scallions, Fennel, lemongrass, ginger, potatoes, sweet potatoes, romaine lettuce, celery, bok choy and cabbage. I'm currently growing these green onions in my bedroom window seal in shot glasses I bought from the dollar store. Change the water daily and enjoy watching the growth.
2. Indoor Aquaponics apartment garden
AQUAPONICS is a system of growing plants in the water that has been used to cultivate aquatic organisms. Here are some youtube videos explaing how to create your own home
aquaphonic system.
